Titus Chapter 1
Be a Faithful Leader
Paul’s letter is to Titus who is in Crete. There were leaders in the church there who were not godly leaders and not preaching God’s truth. God was calling Titus to appoint new leaders / elders in place of the ungodly ones.
The new leaders/elders were to be blameless. An elder/leader was to be:
1. Faithful to God’s Word.
2. Faithful to their wife.
3. Faithful in raising their children in the Lord.
4. Faithful in striving for godliness and holiness.
What about my faith walk? Would God call me to be an elder or leader in the church? Do I understand the Scriptures and it’s TRUTHS? Am I faithful to God’s Word? Am I faithful to my wife or am I flirtatious to other women behind my wife’s back? Was I faithful in teaching God’s Truth to my children?
Are you Faithful in teaching God’s truth to your children?
I ask, would God replace us with faithful leaders or would he use us to replace disobedient leaders because of our faithfulness?
