You’re Number One!
The man speaks of his lover saying, compared to other women, she is a Lily amongst thorns.
The woman speaks of her lover saying amongst all young men, he is a fruit bearing tree amongst all the trees of the forest.
In essence, they both speak of their lover as the greatest amongst all others. No one else even comes close.
Isn’t that how we should make our lover feel, that they are the greatest amongst all others? Does your lover feel that special? Perhaps we are failing in this area. Watch how you talk about other men and women. Watch how often you are in contact with others of the opposite sex. What message are we sending our lover?
In this chapter, the woman goes further with her comment saying how much she appreciates her lovers arms touching and embracing her. She even sets her head in his one arm signifying a sense of security in the relationship. Does your lover feel a strong sense of security? Let today be the day of speaking special words of affirmation to your lover. Think of their gifts and reaffirm them of their uniqueness and how much you appreciate that aspect of their life. Give a hug and embrace them followed by words of how they are number one in your heart. Even if your relationship is damaged, still do it. Do it while praying God will make it real and make it a habit. Start practicing what God is wanting to make real with your lover.
