Second Chronicles Chapter 17
What Are Your Priorities?
Jehoshaphat became king over Judah and as king focused on three major priorities:
1. He ensured his personal life was sold out for the Lord.
2. He put in a lot of energy to ensure all the people of all the cities were being taught the word of God.
3. He invested a lot of time to make sure his Nation was a strong military Nation.
As a result, God blessed Jehoshaphat and his kingdom and he was highly respected by all the nations surrounding him.
We may not be a king representing a nation, but as Christians we are representatives of Christ. How much energy do we put in our commitment to the Lord? Are we role models for others to follow? How much energy do we put into ensuring our family is being taught the Word of God? Seriously think about it.
Where do you invest most of your energy in life? Is it on the Lord? Or on gratifying your own pleasures? On your family? Or on the world’s busy demands that destroy our spiritual lives?
