Ruth Chapter 4
God Can Use You …Yes, Even You!
Boaz wanted to marry Ruth but had some legal matters that needed to be taken care of first. Once they were dealt with, he was free to marry Ruth the Moabite. The marriage was a blessing from God:
1) Ruth had a son, but not just any son. His name was Obed and from the lineage of Obed would one day come the birth of Jesus. God used Ruth, a non-Jew, to be a blessing that would impact lives to come.
2) Naomi, Ruth’s mother-in-law, went from being depressed and bitter toward God to being blessed by God with a grandson. Naomi’s spirits were then redeemed and restored with the Lord.
I don’t care who you are, or where you’ve been, or all you’ve done. I don’t care if you were or were not born in a Christian family. God loves you and has a plan for your life to impact lives for Jesus now, which will later impact other lives, even after you’re dead and gone because of your spiritual influence.
Even for those who have had years of pain that you thought would never be removed or restored, keep persevering and trusting God for one day you’ll be before the Lord restored to the life he promised you. Don’t give up and forfeit the inheritance of heaven that he has awaiting you. Put your hope in the Lord!
