Romans chapter 8

Being Faithful Is Worth It.

Some highlights of this chapter are:

1. There’s no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Adam and Eve sinned at the beginning when they disobeyed God which resulted in death: Physical death and Spiritual death in hell. We are all promised condemnation in hell but through Christ there is no condemnation because we are set free from the penalty of sin. We are promised his glory and peace in heaven.

2. Everyday is a choice. Do we live according to the Spirit’s desire that is within us? Or live according to our sinful desires, our flesh, which opposes God’s desire and is hostile toward God? One leads to life and one leads to death.

3. To live according to the Spirit is to become a part of God’s family. Being a part of his family means God will always love us and therefore will always be with us even in our times of suffering.

4. In fact suffering is evidence of our commitment to follow him. Because there will always be those who oppose our faith or there will always be trials and tribulations. Will we persevere or give in to the suffering. God’s Spirit will always help us conquer any difficult situations we face.

5. God promises us that if we persevere we will be conformed more and more into the image of Christ. And we are promised eternal life with him. There’s no suffering worth saying no to when it comes to comparing it to the glory we will experience in heaven because of our faithfulness to the Lord.

Be faithful today no matter what!
