Revelations Chapter 11
The Good Guy Does End Up Winning!
- This may not always be the best mindset, but I love to see the good guys win and often love to see revenge against the bad guys. So in this chapter when it speaks of the two preachers who will be heard around the world for 3 1/2 years, I’m excited that any evil against them ends in the enemy being devoured or destroyed.
Sadly though, after the 3 1/2 years, they will be killed by the beast. The whole world will see it and rejoice over it because they hate the Lord God.
But just when you think all hope is gone, God will restore their lives and the world will see them ascend into heaven. They will be filled with terror. The city will then be hit with an earthquake killing 7,000 people while destroying one-tenth of the city. As a result, it says the survivors will be terrified and will give glory to the God in heaven.
I’m not sure what you’re going through right now, but God is in control. You may feel beat down and defeated, like the two men, but God will intervene at the right time. And when he does, it will bring glory to his name.
So hang in there. Keep the faith. Don’t give up. God does love you!
