Revelation Chapter 8
It’s Not Going To Be Pretty!
When Jesus opened the 7th and last seal there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. Why? Because the angels in heaven knew that what was about to come was not going to be pretty. God’s wrath was ready to fall upon the Earth and they knew there would be a great destruction.
The 7th seal revealed seven angels and seven trumpets. Four trumpets were sounded and each trumpet represented an element of God’s wrath. All four resulted into a certain kind of destruction and the loss of many many many lives.
When God’s wrath begins to come upon the Earth, people need to beware. Everyone wants to talk about our loving God and can’t fathom a loving God allowing such punishment or wrath. Yes, God is a loving God, but he is also a holy God who can’t tolerate sin.
It won’t be pretty! A sudden reality will hit those who denied God, or just felt they were okay to live a life of disobedience because they’re arrogance told them, “God won’t hold me accountable for my sin!”
Don’t wait till God’s wrath comes before you decide to get right with God. Now is the time to repent from sin and turn to God in holiness. Everything may seem like just a big game right now while many justify their sin or convince themselves there is no God. But all the justification you do and all the reasoning you tell yourself why there is no God will not negate the truth that there IS a God who CAN’T tolerate sin and WILL bring his wrath. Please be ready so you can escape the wrath of God through a relationship with Jesus.
