Revelation Chapter 5
Who is Worthy to Run My Life?
In this chapter God is holding a scroll which gives insight in what is to come in the future. The scroll is sealed with seven seals. The angel was looking for who was Worthy to open such a scroll but the angel found no one. John wept because there was no one Worthy but one of the elders spoke up and said do not weep because the Lord Jesus, the Lamb of God, is Worthy to open the scroll of what is to come in the future.
Then all of Heaven worshiped the Lord declaring him as Worthy.
Here’s a question. Who is Worthy to open the scroll of our lives, telling of our future? Jesus is worthy! So we’d be smart to surrender our hearts and our will to the Lord so he can do and accomplish his plan and purpose in and through our lives.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not the harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.”
So let’s surrender our hearts and lives and will to him. And let us respond in the way described in verse 12 and 13:
1. Let us call upon him while trusting his plan.
2. Let’s pray to him for his plan.
3. Let us seek him with all our hearts.
And it says, when we do this, he will respond by listening to us and showing us the way.
Am I trusting Jesus with my life, my future? Or am I constantly worrying and complaining? Do I feel I am worthy enough and don’t need the Lord’s help?
Yes, I need to be proactive and put forth hard work and effort, but let’s do it while yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Allow him to direct our efforts and hard work for
He is WORTHY!!!
