Revelation Chapter 4
Who’s Sitting On The Throne Of Your Heart?
In chapter 4, John sees the Lord sitting on his throne in heaven. His appearance was beautiful and glamorous while displaying his great power.
Around the throne were 24 elders and four living creatures that never stopped praising the Lord saying, “Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.”
Today, in heaven, God is sitting on his throne with Jesus at his right hand. Today people are sitting, standing, dancing, bowing before the Lord worshiping him. One day, we too will see the Lord sitting on his throne and will we also be praising his name? Will we enter his kingdom or will we be cast from heaven into an eternal Lake of fire called hell?
The question is, while on earth, who do we have sitting on the throne of our hearts? Because that which we have sitting on the throne of our hearts is what we give our praises to. Is it the Lord? Or is it the pleasures of this world? If Jesus is not sitting on the throne of our hearts then what do we need to do to get rid of, or surrender to the Lord so that he is on the throne of our hearts? Let him be what we give our praises to NOW! Then we can look forward to continuing those praises in Heaven!
