Revelation Chapter 21
I Can’t Wait.
What are some earthly things that get you excited and you feel you just can’t wait for it?
As a kid, Christmas was something I couldn’t wait for. The first day of buck hunting was also something I just couldn’t wait for.
I’ve experienced Christmas and I’ve experienced hunting so it made it that much more exciting when another year of Christmas and hunting came around.
Revelation Chapter 21 is a great reminder that one day there will be a new Heaven and a new Earth because the old heaven and old Earth will be done away with. And the new Earth will be beautiful and God’s people will dwell there with him and God with us. There’ll be no more pain and sickness, no more hate and fighting, no more death or crying. We will live with such joy in the presence of the Lord forever.
Honestly, I can’t wait to get there. Some times when days get tough I find myself wishing I was in heaven now. But I realize I often say that out of selfishness. God has a lot to do on this Earth so more people can come to know him. I can’t wait to get to heaven but I don’t want to leave prematurely. While I’m here I want to take advantage of every opportunity to share the love of Jesus with other people. I don’t want to go to heaven alone. I want to bring my family and friends with me. But in the meantime, I can’t wait!
