Revelation Chapter 20
God’s Judgment!
An angel of the Lord seized Satan and put him in the abyss for a thousand years so he could no longer deceive the nations. After the thousand years, he will deceive Nations and go into battle against the Lord God. They will circle around the city of God, but God will cause fire to come down from heaven and devour the enemies. Then Satan will be thrown into the Lake of Fire, where the beast and false prophet are, the place they will all be tormented day and night, forever and ever.
Then comes the judgment of those who lived on earth. The dead were judged according to what they did and did not do. Then they were thrown into the Lake of Fire.
Judgment is not about being “good enough.” Judgment is about having faith in Jesus followed by a changed life and a constant desire to serve him. Your faith will result in “good works” because it means you’re putting your faith into practice. But don’t let that confuse you with a person who has no faith but does “good things.” This person will not enter Heaven because he is not acknowledged Christ as his Savior. Turn from sin. Turn to Christ. Let people see the evidence of your faith through your love and actions.
