Read Zechariah Chapter 2.
You Choose: Victory In Christ Or Bondage In Sin.
God tells Zechariah that a day is coming when Jerusalem will be so big that they will be without walls. Instead, God will be a Fire Wall around them and His Glory will be amongst them. God is calling his people to return to Judah, to Jerusalem. He says,
1. “Flee and Escape from your enemy, Babylon.” I find these words interesting. Typically we hear people pray, “God, save me from my enemies.” But here, God says to flee and escape, as if to be saying, “You already have the power to be set free but it’s your choice. You can stay in your place of sin, while sleeping with your enemy, or you can say, ‘Enough is Enough! I want to return to the Lord 100%!'”
2. God says to “Sing For Joy And Be Glad.” We should all do this much more often than we do for when God calls us down a challenging path, he says he will be with us. That should cause us to be filled with Joy and Gladness. By faith, and faith alone, we should be praising him when things are good and bad because God is in control.
3. Lastly, God says, BE SILENT! Why? Because the Holy God is aroused and is coming and lives will be made holy again. A transformation is coming even amongst their enemies.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, thank you for empowering me to overcome the sin. Empower me to Flee and Escape and be set free from everything that traps my heart and mind away from you. Fill me with your Holy Spirit so that by faith I will praise you with Joy and Gladness for your coming victory in my life. Help me to be Silent before your Holiness as I trust you to transform my life. May my life be a representation of Christ to others so that they see a NEW me and know that you are God.
