Read Zechariah Chapter 13
Now Is Not The Time To Play Games With God.
A prophecy is given against Jerusalem when a day of cleansing will occur. Idols will be cut down and removed and remembered no more. God will also remove the false prophets and unclean spirits. False prophets will be afraid to speak for fear they will be put to death for not speaking God’s words.
Zechariah gives a prophecy of the coming Jesus and how a cleansing will occur because of the Death and Resurrection of Jesus. Several will be cut off and perish because of rejecting the Lord while a smaller group of people will be tested through the fire, difficult days, and will be faithful to the Lord and will call upon him. God will say, “You are my people,” then his people will say, “The Lord is my God!”
There’s a song that says, “What can wash away my sin, nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again, nothing but the blood of Jesus!”
Have you experienced the cleansing power of Jesus? I’m not asking, “Have you asked Jesus into your life?” Although this is important! But the cleansing power of Jesus comes when we make Jesus, who we asked into our lives, to be our Lord. We surrender everything to the Lord: every person and every Earthly thing, so we can be cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus.
Do we have the fear of the Lord like the prophets who said, I refuse to speak false words for fear of being put to death? Do we fear the Lord so much that we refuse to hang on to sin that is destructive to our souls?
Now is not the time to play games with God. He’s well aware of what’s going on with our lives. Surrender everything to the Lord and experience his cleansing power. Then we can speak with great confidence saying, “The Lord is my God!!” And he will say, “You are my people!”
