Read Zechariah Chapter 10
The Battle Belongs To The Lord.
Got instructed his people that when they are in need, to call upon him. God says when you want rain for your crops, call upon Him. Do you need protection from your enemies, call upon Him. Quit putting your trust in other things or other people. Oftentimes we cry out to God and do so boldly and with great faith. But what if we don’t get the results we are looking for immediately? What if God seems to be taking longer than we anticipated? It’s then that we often take control away from God and put it into our self or others. It’s amazing what we will do to get results when we become impatient. We end up making decisions that hinder or make our situation worse.
When we surrender our circumstances into God’s hands, he will provide the resources for victory. He will sometimes do miracles that blow our minds away. Sometimes he will bring to mind people that you are to call and get wisdom and wise counsel from. He may bring them into your path at the grocery store when your least expect it. But God is at work. Oftentimes his greatest work is building into us Christ like qualities. He prolongs his answers so we become more like Jesus: More loving, more caring, more patient, learning perseverance, etc.
Are you in a battle right now? Who’s in control? Did you start off with God in control only to begin taking over yourself? Let faith, trust, and patience kick in and let the Holy Spirit guide you into victory. Remember The Battle Belongs to the Lord.
Deuteronomy 20:4 — “For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”
2 Chronicles 20:15 — “Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.”
