Read Proverbs Chapter 8
Wisdom Calls Out.
Do you have a friend you enjoy hearing from? When this person reaches out, there’s a joy and excitement that comes over you. We should express that same Joy, love, and passion when it comes to gaining God’s wisdom. In this chapter, wisdom is personified. It’s described like it’s a real person. For example versus 1-4 says, Wisdom calls out. Wisdom raises her voice. Wisdom takes a stand. Wisdom cries out.
We are encouraged to strive hard for it (vs 5-6) like a loving and close friend. Choose wisdom even over money (vs 7-11). And those who seek it find it (vs 17). And when we seek it and find it, then we need to obey it. When we do, it bears fruit. Good comes from it. (vs 19). It changes our lives and changes the lives of those around us.
God’s wisdom, the Bible, is calling out to you. Get excited like it’s a dear friend. Seek it. Gain it. Use it. It will change your life and the life of others. Let it become your “Best Friend”.
