Read Micah Chapter 2
How do I get from point A to point D?
Micah 2 is a prophecy against Israel whose schemes iniquity.
1. THEY PLAN EVIL: They stay up at night planning evil. (Vs 1)
2. THEY DO EVIL: Then they do the actual evil they planned. (Vs 2)
3. GOD’S DESTRUCTION: God speaks of his coming destruction because of their evil. (Vs 3-11)
4. GOD’S PROMISE OF RESTORATION: God says the day is coming when Israel will be restored back into a relationship with God. (Vs 12-13)
How do we get from being a personRead Micah Chapter 2. How do I get from point A to point D? To encourage someone who schemes and plans evil, to being totally committed to the Lord in a relationship? How do we get from point A to point D? Isn’t this what life is really all about? Imagine Christians thinking everyday, “How can I get closer to the Lord, and how can I help others come to know and live for the Lord?”
This would be wonderful!! But instead we have Christians focused more on the things and worries of this world. I wonder how many people I walk by every day who are hurting and in need of God’s love? 5, 10, 25, a 100? Why is that? Because my energy is all about me, my life, my needs, my worries.
So what practical things can we do to help a person get from not knowing Jesus to knowing Jesus? Or as Micah said, get from one who plans and does evil to being restored into a relationship with the Lord?
1. BE A ROLE MODEL: Be a role model to others of what Jesus looks like – which means don’t fall into peer pressure.
2. INVEST INTO GOD’S WORD: Daily invest into God’s Word. It’s our truth and power.
3. PRAY FOR THE LOST AND HURTING: Pray for opportunities to touch lives and share Jesus with those around you.
4. LOVE PEOPLE: Let love be your driving force. Learn to love others and not just yourself.
