Read Matthew Chapter 14:34-36
Don’t Just Sit There! Do Something!
Jesus and his disciples crossed over in their boat to Gennesaret. When they arrived, the people recognized Jesus. What did they do when they recognized him? Did they do nothing? Did they say “Hi” then walk away? NO and NO! They couldn’t contain themselves and were proactive with their response:
1. They sent word to all the surrounding district that Jesus was there.
2. They brought to Jesus all who were sick.
3. The sick begged that Jesus would let them touch the fringe of his cloak. Those who touched him were healed.
When is the last time you had an encounter with Jesus? Where were you? What did you do? Nothing? Or Something?
1. Were you so excited, you couldn’t contain yourself? You found yourself wanting to tell others in hopes of them having an encounter with the Lord also?
2. Were you anxious to invite your friend to church, or an event where Jesus would be shared?
3. Were you and the others sincere in believing Jesus would work?
If we have an encounter with the Lord, don’t just sit there, DO SOMETHING! Seek the Lord with all your heart on what he would want to do in and through your life. Perhaps he wants to heal you. Perhaps he has an unexpected plan for your life. Perhaps he wants to do a new thing with you! Who knows what God is wanting to do? Surrender to Him. Seek Him. Tell Others. Do Something and see what God does!
