Read Matthew 28:16-17
Do I Worship Him? Or Do I Doubt Him?
In the previous verses, the disciples were instructed to meet Jesus in Galilee. So they proceeded to Galilee and met Jesus at the mountain he designated. And when they saw him, they worshiped him. Though some doubted whether or not it was Jesus.
I wonder how much Ministry is thwarted because of doubt? I wonder how many opportunities we miss to give God glory, or Praise Him for his mighty works because we doubt him. God called the disciples to this mountain, and when they saw him some worshiped him and some doubted him.
I wonder how many opportunities we have had to meet with Jesus and we don’t praise him or worship Him because we doubt what he’s doing? We question even his existence? Rather than worshiping and thanking him for what he is doing, we doubt his existence because we don’t see him doing what we want him to do. We think he’s asleep or we act like he really hasn’t risen from the dead.
Think about the next time you go to church. Are you worshiping the Lord? Are you entering his gates with Thanksgiving in your hearts, are you entering his courts with praise? Are you saying this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it? Psalms 100:4 and 118:24.
When we enter into the presence of the Lord in our quiet time at home, do we enter with a Heart of worship or a heart of complaining because of the doubt we have in our hearts? Are we missing opportunities to praise and thank the all powerful and mighty God for what he has done, or for what he is doing, or for what he is going to do?
As a challenge, let us do as the psalmist said, and let us enter his presence with Thanksgiving in our hearts and let us enter his courts with praise. Let us say this is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Thank you Jesus for all that you are doing. I can’t live without you. I praise you and thank you for the goodness that you have shown to me in so many ways. And I thank you for the trials of life that help conform me into the image of Christ. I thank you for even the hardships because they help me take the focus off from myself and on to you. Give me your strength, your power, and your endurance. Lord I need you everyday and every hour! Thank you!
