Read Matthew 24:36-51
Are YOU Ready? Are YOUR Loved Ones Ready?
Jesus gives three examples showing what his Unknown Return will be like:
1. It’ll be like the days of Noah when people were living their lives just like we are today. They will be eating and drinking, some getting married and all of a sudden the flood came. They weren’t expecting it. They weren’t ready. And they perished. This is how it will be when Christ returns.
2. Two men will be together working at their job just like usual. Then all of a sudden one will be taken by Jesus and the other will be left behind.
3. Two women will be together working on normal everyday stuff. One will be taken and the other will be left.
Can you see how scary this is: to be here one second, and then left behind the next second. Does this do anything to you?
It does for me!!! I’m driven to strive to be faithful ALWAYS! But also driven to share Jesus with those who are lost because they don’t know Jesus, or lost because they only know him with their mind but not their heart.
Vs 45-51 Jesus said, be ready by being a faithful servant in serving the Lord. Don’t let the fact, that you don’t see Jesus, make you conclude that he’s not coming and therefore you can do whatever your heart desires. Because if Jesus returns and finds you unfaithful, “eating and drinking with drunkards” (or doing other “fun stuff” that all your other friends are doing), he’ll cast judgment upon you and they will enter the place with other hypocrites who felt they were serving the Lord but in reality they were serving their own desires. This place is called HELL where Jesus says there will be “weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Make sure you’re ready (ALWAYS) and reach those who aren’t ready.
