Quit Throwing A Conniption Fit!
While Jesus was in the temple, the Blind and Lame came to him and he healed them. When you read the miracles Jesus did, it brings Joy to your Heart. It even brings Praise to God. You can’t imagine someone being upset over such wonderful miracles.
BUT!!!!!! After the chief priests and the scribes saw what Jesus did, and then hearing the children saying to Jesus, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they became INDIGNANT.
” Indignant” is the feeling of anger or annoyance someone has towards an individual who treated them in an unjust or unfair manner. So what’s the problem with the chief priest and the scribes because Jesus did absolutely nothing unjust or unfair toward them. All he did were miracles for the Lord God. Now, all of a sudden, they are having a CONNIPTION FIT!!!
Why is it when someone is “successful” in an area that we too wish we were ” successful” in, that we become indignant?!? We throw a Conniption Fit! Think about it! The people we are indignant toward haven’t even done anything wrong: nothing unjust and nothing unfair. But our jealousy destroys us and we become hateful and indignant when in reality we should be praising God for their gifts and talents, while complimenting the person for their God-given gifts. In fact, if the person doesn’t know Christ, then what an opportunity to CONNECT with them since you have similar gifts and interests, and then share Christ with them. Get your eyes off of yourself and back on the Lord. Then love the person instead of having a “CONNIPTION FIT.”
