Read Matthew 21:1-3
What Is Your Prized Possession?
Jesus called 2 of his disciples to GO to the other side of the village where they would find a donkey and her colt. He told them they are to untie them and bring them to “Jesus.” If anyone says anything to you, because you’re taking their donkey and colt, tell them, “The Lord has need of them.” At that moment, the person will IMMEDIATELY send his donkey and colt to the Lord.
What are your prized possessions? Your money? Your four wheeler? You’re Roberto Clemente collection (that’s mine😁)? Your guns? Your spouse? Your children? Come on, let’s get real. What is your prize possession? Your job? Your friends? Your church? Your Ego? You’re protected heart? Your gifts and talents?
So what if Jesus comes calling on you because something you have he wants to use to further his Kingdom Goals? Would you send them IMMEDIATELY? What is Jesus calling you to surrender over to him so he can use it for his glory? Think of the list I mentioned above. Is Jesus in need of it?
The man immediately sent his donkey and colt to the Lord! I like that it says, “The Lord is in need of them!” Because if Jesus is “Lord” of our lives, meaning number one in our lives over all other people and things, then it makes it easier to surrender something or someone over to the Lord for his purpose.
What is the Lord asking of you? What are you waiting for?
