Read Matthew 15:29-31
Jesus Is On A Mission!
Verse 29 says, “Departing from there” (Tyre and Sidon), the place where he healed a Canaanite woman, Jesus traveled by the Sea of Galilee to a mountain side where he sat. In several chapters of the Bible when Jesus finished ministering to needs, it says, “Departing from there” or “Jesus Departed from there” or ” Jesus went away from there” and it was always to another place where he did Ministry. Jesus was always on a mission to touch lives. May that be our heart that as we depart from our house we’re mission-minded. That as we go to work, we are mission-minded. As we go to eat lunch, we are mission-minded. As we depart and go to church, may we be mission-minded. God, give us all a mission-minded heart, so that we are always making ourselves available to be a blessing to someone no matter where we’re at.
Jesus was very popular and as he sat on the mountainside a great multitude came to him bringing their sick, lame, blind, crippled, and dumb, and laid them down at the feet of Jesus. Then Jesus healed them. As a result the multitude marveled as they saw the dumb speak, the crippled restored, the lame walk, and the blind see. They glorified the God of Israel.
What is it you are struggling with? What sickness, what trials and tribulations? What hurts and pains? What Brokenness? You can take them to Jesus and lay him down before him as a way of saying, “I can’t do this!” Give it to Jesus as a way of saying, “But I know you can!” Then trust him to work in and through your life circumstances. It may mean giving it to Jesus daily because you find yourself trying to be in control daily. But give it to Him then Trust him. Take time to praise and thank Him for all that he IS DOING and for all that he is GOING TO DO. Have a blessed day!
