There is Power, Power, Wonder Working Power!
In Vs 1, Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who shall not taste death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power.”
I love this verse because it comes right after the passage where Jesus tells us to follow him even unto death if need be. Following Jesus isn’t just about persecution but it’s also about POWER: His Power, His Wonder Working Power! This power is available to us through the Holy Spirit for our everyday walk. The same power that Rose Jesus from the dead is the same power that lives and dwells within each follower of Christ. This power is available in breaking down walls and overcoming every obstacle the devil puts before us.
There’s power to walk a holy life.
Power to love not just our friends but also our enemies.
Power to overcome obstacles in our everyday walk.
Power to walk in God’s truth with confidence and boldness.
Power to speak God’s truth with confidence and boldness.
Power to face opposition without fear.
Power in healing our hurts and sicknesses.
Power to see miracles in our everyday lives.
Power to persevere through persecution and death.
The power of salvation and forgiveness.
Power for spiritual growth and development.
Where there is Christ, there is power, wonder working power! Lord, help me to walk faithfully with you. Help me walk with confidence that you are in control and your power submits to no one. All things will bow before you. Help me rely on your power daily with confidence and boldness. Help me not put my faith in myself but always in you. Help me to walk in your victory! Amen!
