Go Ahead, Make My Day!
A multitude of people came to see Jesus in a remote area. After 3 days, Jesus had compassion for them and wanted to get them something to eat. The disciples told Jesus that there was no way they would be able to find enough bread to satisfy the 4,000 people. They found among the multitude seven loaves of bread and a few fish. Jesus prayed and blessed the food and the disciples served the people by distributing the food among them.
They all ate and were satisfied and after picking up all the broken pieces, they had seven full baskets of leftovers. About 4,000 people were fed.
Jesus was faced with an impossible situation. 4000 people in a remote area with very little food. The disciples said there was no way we could feed them. The disciple brought to Jesus the seven loaves of bread and a few fish. It wasn’t much but it’s amazing what God can do with just a little. The very little ended up feeding 4,000 people with leftovers.
What can $1 do? What can a hug do? What can a compliment do? It’s amazing what God can do with the little that we have. Like the fish and bread, Jesus can bless what little we have to offer and use it to impact lives.
For example, if you wanted to use your car for the Lord, then pray he gives you opportunities to be a blessing to others in need.
If you want to be a financial blessing to someone, pray Jesus shows you how you can help others who are in need.
Several times, I’ve keyed in on one person and committed to say HI and COMPLIMENT them whenever I saw them. Complete strangers, but had big results. Most recently, at church, a 7th grader who is rather quiet, I said hi to the person every Sunday and would compliment something about her or would say, “You are AWESOME 😎
Now, on Sundays, this 7th grader looks forward to seeing me and comes up and chatters with me all the time. It’s AMAZING what a little hello and a little compliment can do for someone.
I was at a funeral recently and I was in the hallway talking to some guy and this older lady came up and I immediately said how nice her outfit looked on her. She responded very quickly and even with excitement, and said, “Thank You! You just made my day!”
So go ahead, make someone’s day! Let God take what little you have and be a blessing in a big way to someone else.
