Read Mark 3:9-12
I don’t need Church, or the Bible, or Prayer.
Jesus was at the Sea and the multitudes were so great that were coming to hear Jesus speak, that he said to disciples to have a boat ready to speak out of. He feared the multitude may crowd him in the water because they had crowded him in order to touch and be healed by him. Plus unclean spirits would fall down before him and cry out, “You are the Son of God!”
The multitude of people, and the demons, understood the power of God. In fact the multitudes came from all over in order to experience God’s physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental healing. They came from all over to hear him speak. They had an understanding of the POWER OF GOD.
Sadly, we live in a world today where people want to live in the realm of “worldly logic.” If they can’t explain it from a “worldly” perspective, then it’s not real. I feel that’s why many people don’t surrender their lives to Jesus. It doesn’t make sense to them. They don’t understand that God, our creator, exists in the physical and spiritual world. The devil and his angels exist in our spiritual world and influence us in our physical world. They are all about lies and deception. It affects us spiritually (of course), but also physically (because of worry and fear), and even emotionally and mentally because we listen to their lies. The devil and his angels love to tell us we are no good, or God isn’t real, or just believe with your mind and not your heart. When in reality, God wants a RELATIONSHIP with us and wants to empower us in our daily walk and struggles. The Lord wants to speak life and Truth into us which is found in the Word Of God, The Bible. May we read it. He wants to bring healing in our broken lives as we surrender our hearts to him along with our deep hurts and struggles.
May I challenge each of us to understand that our Battles in life are not against flesh and blood, not against what we can see and logically explain, but it’s against the evil spirits and principalities of this dark world. The answer is not found in some worldly logic, but found in a surrendered heart to Jesus. May we approach him with the same vigor as the multitudes did who wanted to hear Jesus, and receive healing from Jesus. May we show the same vigor to seek Jesus in church fellowship, in our prayer time, and in the pursuit of the Word of God, the Bible. May we quit listening to the lies of the world that puts a wedge in our hearts between us and God to the point that we deny God’s power.
