Read Mark 3:13-15
God Chose Me For A Higher Calling!
God’s Chosen One, His Son Jesus, came to Earth in order to be the Savior of the world. This Chosen One then chose 12 disciples that would follow him. Jesus would disciple and mentor them. He would teach God’s word. He taught them with his lips and by the example of his life. He would invest into them so they would be prepared and equipped for a higher calling. They didn’t know exactly what that higher calling would look like, but lives would be impacted for the kingdom for eternity.
Are you a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ? Don’t be quick in answering this question. Take your time. Think good and hard because how you answer this could possibly change the course of your life. So don’t be quick to answer it until you are ready to become a Chosen One by God for a HIGHER CALLING. If you answer “YES,” that you are a follower of Christ, then let me congratulate you. Let me even pray for you because God is ready to take you to a new place in your spiritual walk. He may be calling you to a new place or even a new career, but it may be he is keeping you where you are, but his higher calling starts with changing you first.
Perhaps, the Lord just wants to change how you see people around you. He wants you to see them with his eyes and not your own because when you look at people with your own eyes (family or non family) you see nothing spiritually. But when you look at them through the eyes of Jesus, you see a soul in need of Jesus. You see someone in need of spiritual food. We see ourselves as a tool for God in order to touch the lives of others. God wants to use us to teach, to love, and impact lives for him.
God’s higher calling is to help point people toward Jesus. God is calling us not to be stagnant with our faith. If you’re stagnant, then you’re not moving forward. If you’re not moving forward, then how can you reach the higher calling? God has chosen us for himself. My heart is broken before god. I’m reaching my hands out to him in prayer and declaring that I want to follow him. I’m willing for him to change my heart and attitude and change how I see others. I’m ready for him to equip me for that higher calling. I don’t want to be stagnant! I want to keep moving forward! As long as I can breathe, and regardless of my age, I pray God will use me to impact lives here and even around the world. Here am I Lord, send me to that higher calling!
