Read Mark 2:9-13
I Am Impelled To Do This.
It came about, during the ministry of John the baptist, that Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan River. As Jesus was baptized and was coming up out of the water, he immediately saw the heavens open and the Spirit like a dove descended upon him. Then God spoke from the heavens saying, “You are my beloved Son, in you I am well pleased.” And immediately the spirit IMPELLED Jesus to go into the wilderness 40 days and nights, without food, being tempted by the devil, while being amongst the wild beasts. However, God was with him and Angels were ministering to him.
For us who are followers of Christ, what is the Holy Spirit IMPELLING us to do? IMPELLING Is A Strong Inner Motivation To Do Something.
What is the Holy Spirit IMPELLING you to do? It could be something very difficult. It could bring about pain and suffering, or may be something fearful. Maybe it’s starting a new ministry, or a call to do something totally new. It may mean changing careers, moving to a new location, changing friends, furthering your education, changing churches. Whatever it is the Holy Spirit is IMPELLING you to do, this I can promise you, the Holy Spirit will be with you and who knows how many ministering Angels along with him for our purpose and our good. GO!!!!! Wherever he is calling you and whatever he’s asking you to do, GO!!!!
