It’s Not A Coincidence. I Believe This With All My Heart.
As Jesus was walking, he saw Levi (AKA – Matthew a Jew) sitting in the tax office (working for the Roman government). Jesus called out to Levi and said to him,”Follow Me!” Levi got up and chose to follow Jesus. He left his well paid government position in order to follow Jesus. He knew who Jesus was because Jesus’s popularity was unimaginable. There was something very appealing about Jesus that Levi knew he wanted resulting in him following Jesus.
At a later time, Jesus is reclining at his house and many tax gatherers and sinners were dining with Jesus and his disciples. This is not a coincidence. I believe with all my heart other tax gathers have been influenced by Levi’s life. I truly believe that a transformation occurred in Levi’s life that was evident to the other tax gathers. I believe his tax gathering friends saw a transformation in his life and heard his testimony which resulted in their lives being changed and wanting to follow Jesus.
Let this be a lesson to us all. As a follower of Jesus let people see a transformation in our lives. Let our faith be real and transparent!!!! I truly believe God wants to use your life as a witness and testimony to your peers and your family. When people see that your faith is real and that the change in your life is not a temporary thing, but an ongoing transformation, it will become attractive to them! Some of your peers and family members are looking for answers in life. They will find it in your life and want what you have. People will come to know the Lord because of your testimony. It won’t be a coincidence. I believe this with all my heart.
