Read Luke 9:27
Do You See What I See?
After Jesus states how he must suffer, be rejected, and die, and 3 days later rise from the dead, he goes on to say if we want to be one of his disciples we must be willing to deny ourselves along with our selfish pleasures and be willing to suffer, be rejected, and even willing to die for him if need be.
His last statement in verse 27 is, “Truly I tell you, some of you standing here will not taste death before they see the Kingdom of God [in power]”. Mark 9:1 version
After Jesus’s death and resurrection, His Holy Spirit was given to all who follow him. This resulted in God displaying his power over all the Earth throughout the world. Exciting thing is, we get to be a part of what God is doing for his kingdom on Earth as it is in heaven. We get to see it, be a part of it, and experience it. God will display his power through those who have surrendered their lives to the Lord. As a result, you and others will see the kingdom grow with added believers and transformed lives. I’ve seen God’s Kingdom grow on this Earth. I want to see others see what I see and experience it.
This is a glorious thing!!!!! But realize, the devil and his angels will stir up opposition and that’s when we can’t lose focus of what God is doing and cave to the opposition. Instead we must be steadfast and persevere through the suffering, the rejection, and even the attack of death.
Honestly, I look forward to the opportunity to see the Lord and his kingdom grow. And I do pray that God will sustain me, which he promises to do. Lord, I yield my life before you. Use me for your kingdom. Do you see what I see?
