Are You A “Bare Minimum Christian?” Or Are You A “I Can’t Get Enough Of Jesus Christian?”
After doing all kinds of ministry, the 12 disciples shared with Jesus all kinds of testimonies of how God worked in and through their lives.
Jesus then took the 12 disciples and withdrew to go to another place, Bethsaida. But the crowds who had experienced the power of God and heard the good news of the Kingdom, they wanted to follow Jesus wherever he was going. They couldn’t get enough of him. They wanted more! They traveled a long distance even to a remote area just so they could be with Jesus. And Jesus welcomed them and ministered to them through preaching and healings.
What does Ministry look like for our lives? How are we promoting Jesus to others? What testimonies could we share of how God is using us? What lives are being impacted? How is God impacting our own lives? Do we have a hunger and thirst for all who Jesus is? The crowds of people couldn’t get enough of Jesus. They kept following him wherever he went. I find this interesting because I feel Christians today struggle putting much effort in their relationship with Jesus. They go to church one day a week, maybe. Their time reading the Bible and praying is minimal at best. The attitude seems to be doing a bare minimum versus having a hunger and thirst for all God has for them.
The neat thing is, Jesus welcomes us in this relationship. He looks forward to us meeting with him.
Are you a bare minimum Christian? Or are you hungry and thirsty for more of Jesus? It’s like, you just can’t get enough of him.
Is he impacting your life and then are you desiring him to use you to impact the lives of others?
I ask the question again, Are you a Bare Minimum Christian or a I Can’t Get Enough Of Jesus Christian?
