Read Luke 6:43-45
I Want My Fruit To Be A Testimony That Points People To Jesus
Jesus said, “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit.” In Matthew 7:15-20, Jesus even said you’ll be able to determine the good and evil ones based upon their fruits. And those producing bad fruit, are ones with evil hearts and evil intentions. These ones will be cut down and thrown into the fire.
A person who produces good fruit is one who has a heart that is full of the goodness of God and his love. The one who produces bad food is the one who has a heart that is full of evil desires deep within their hearts and inner beings.
In my everyday walk with Christ, I confess there are times I am very selfish and make bad decisions. But I also can say with great confidence that my deepest desire is to do the will of God and follow him 100%. I want to walk in obedience to his word. I don’t just want to produce good fruit, but I want to produce good fruit with my life that acts as a testimony of my faith in Christ. And I pray that it helps point people to Jesus and not away from him. I want my fruit to give evidence of my faith in hopes of inspiring others to follow him.
I pray that God will help me be faithful to the end of my life.
I pray others will be inspired to do the same.
