What’s All The Excitement?
After Jesus chose Levi to be one of his disciples, Levi held a banquet for Jesus at his house and invited many of his tax collector friends along with several other friends. Levi was so excited about becoming one of Jesus’ disciples that he had to throw a party for Jesus. Having this banquet and inviting his friends was definitely a great way to help others come to know Jesus.
Can you imagine what the conversations were like as people walked by the banquet and hearing people laughing, interacting, and celebrating this new relationship with Jesus. People would be wondering, “What’s all the excitement?” Then someone would answer, “Levi was asked by Jesus to be one of his disciples!!!” Now That’s Exciting!!!!
Where’s our excitement? Are we excited about our relationship with Jesus? Or has it just become a LABEL we carry around? We only know Jesus with our minds but not our hearts. We haven’t fallen in love with Jesus. It hasn’t become a love relationship where we want to spend time with Jesus reading his Word, Praying, and Fellowshipping with other believers! When is the last time we WANTED people to see Jesus in us, or invited someone to church, and even engaged in conversation with someone about our faith. When’s the last time we shared how Christ has changed us?
Where is your excitement?
CHALLENGE:
1. Pray For A renewed heart for Jesus.
2. Invest in God’s word daily!
3. Invite someone to church with you.
4. Engage into a conversation with someone and share how Christ has changed you.
