The Whole Thing Is Unfair! Where Are You God?
The Jewish council has brought Jesus before them to be tried as an evil wicked person. They made false accusations against him in hopes of having him put to death. The council sent him to Pilate, who eventually sent him to Herod.
During this process, the Jewish council vehemently made accusations against Jesus and even stirred up the crowd to want him crucified. Neither Pilate nor Herod found any reason to make any charges against Jesus.
But to appease the Jewish council and crowd, both Herod and Pilate punished Jesus severely. And when the crowd was given an option of letting Jesus be set free, or Barabbas a murderer, they chose to let Barabbas be set free and demanded Jesus be crucified.
The whole trial was corrupt. Jesus was innocent, yet circumstances fell together resulting in Jesus going to be crucified. Was this an unfair trial? Of course! So why didn’t God deliver Jesus? Because it was necessary for Jesus to suffer and die in order for us to be delivered from the bondage of sin. The whole thing was unfair! Where are you God?
I hate to say it, but that’s life. Sometimes it feels like life is so unfair and even corrupt, but God is still ever-present and still at work accomplishing something huge. It’s something beyond our understanding or comprehension. God sees the bigger picture he knows what has to happen in order to carry out the bigger plan. So when it feels like you are going before the corrupt system, God is still ever present with you. He’s very busy carrying out his plan for his glory. Count it a joy that you get to be a part of his glorious plan. Persevere and don’t give up.
