Read Luke 22:7-13
Make The Necessary Preparations.
The day of the Passover had come when the Jews would make preparations for the Passover meal. This meal is to remember how God passed over the Jews in Egypt that had sacrificed blood over the upper and sides of the door posts of each home. Those without the blood suffered God’s wrath.
How ironic, because Jesus was preparing to sacrifice his body for the sins of the world. He would become the sacrificial Lamb that would shed his blood for the Forgiveness of sins, once and for all. And those who would receive the Salvation he offered would not face the wrath of God on judgment day. For God’s wrath will pass over us because we have received the blood of the Lamb for the Forgiveness of our sins.
The disciples did just as Jesus asked them to in preparing the Passover meal. Have you made the necessary preparations in your heart to receive Jesus into your life for the Forgiveness of all your sins? Have you EXPERIENCED this new life in Jesus? What I mean is, have you EXPERIENCED the TRANSFORMATION that occurs when the spirit of God lives and dwells within you? Have you EXPERIENCED that true TRANSFORMATION when you no longer desire to live according to the flesh (sin), but by the spirit that dwells within you (transformation). This type of transformation causes people to say, “Who are you? You’ve changed! You’re not who you used to be!” It’s off with the old life and on with the new life. Have you made the necessary preparations for a new life in Jesus?
