Can I Be Trusted To Carry Out What God Has Called Me To Do?
Yesterday, we looked at Jesus’s call to be WATCHFUL SERVANTS for His second coming. We are to ANTICIPATE his return and be BUSY doing his work. This devotional emphasizes the negative consequences for those who get sidetracked and begin to lose focus of God’s calling.
We are given two examples of this:
1. We see where those who are faithful to the Lord will be given more responsibility but later are overcome by pride and begin to be unfaithful and even show Injustice to those around them.
2. We also see those who get sidetracked and no longer make it a priority to fulfill the will of God.
Both these examples are examples of the UNFAITHFUL. Their consequences are facing an eternal destruction in hell.
What has God entrusted you to do for him? Are you faithful to the call? Are you following his will and his plans for your life or does your selfishness and pride keep you from carrying out the call he has for your life?
Let This Be Your Prayer: Lord, help me be obedient and be found faithful to your call for my life.
