What is Your Transformation?
After Jesus healed the man who was born blind, the blind man returned home. People who had formerly seen him as the one who was blind and begging, asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?” Some claimed he was while others said, “No, he only looks like him.” But the man insisted that he was the same man. They asked, “How then were your eyes opened?” He replied that it was a man named Jesus who made mud, put it on his eyes, and had him go to the pool of Siloam where he washed his eyes and then could see. However, the man never got to see Jesus after being healed but he believed in him because of the miracle. Some people also believed because of his transformation, while others didn’t. The transformation was so powerful it was hard for them to believe it was the same person.
Jesus came to Earth to heal our spiritual blindness. Are we willing to surrender our will over to the will of God? If Jesus asked you, “Do you want to be healed,” would you surrender your will and tell him yes just as the blind man surrendered his will?
Have you surrendered? Has a transformation occurred in your life? Is the transformation such that people can see the change, and in fact some find it hard to believe that you are the same person because the transformation is so drastic and powerful?
For me, personally, I once was insecure and thought lowly of myself. I thought others did as well. But Christ came into my life and healed my spiritual blindness so I could begin to see who I really am in Christ. My whole life changed. I found my identity in Christ and not in what others thought of me. I became confident in who God made me and I realized he had a purpose for my life. I became hungry for God’s word. I became bold in my faith and began to teach God’s truth. I began investing in the lives of others versus sitting at home doing nothing.
