Read John 9:35-41
I Worship Him All Day Long!
Jesus had heard, that the man who he had healed of his blindness, was thrown out of the temple by the Pharisees. When Jesus found the man, he asked him, “Do you believe in the Son Of Man?” Jesus means God’s Chosen One. The man replied, “Tell me who he is so I may believe in him.” Jesus told him that he, Jesus, is the Son of Man. The man quickly replied, “Lord, I believe,” and he WORSHIPED Jesus.
Jesus told the man in front of some Pharisees that he came to Earth for judgment. He wants to give sight, spiritual redemption, to those who know they are guilty of sin. But those who think they can see spiritually, the self righteous, they will become blind. They will die in their sin because they refuse to acknowledge their guilt and sin.
As I compared the life of the man with the Pharisees, I asked this question: how can you tell if someone is spiritually blind or not?
1. The man, who Jesus healed, believed and WORSHIPED him.
2. The Pharisees, believed Jesus existed, but didn’t believe in him for redemption nor did they WORSHIP Him.
This is a key point to me. If you are spiritually blind and know you are living in sin, and you call upon the name of Jesus for redemption, you will want to worship Jesus all day long. I’m not just talking about singing songs. I’m talking about how you present yourself around other people. They see that you are different and that you do not conform to the pattern of this world. You give no Dominion to the enemy for any part of your life. Your life is a testimony of worship to Jesus in every aspect of your life.
This is different than those who know Jesus and might believe in him (head knowledge) but their spirit is still dead in sin. Their life is not a testimony for Jesus. The things of this world have captivated them and you don’t see worship displayed in and through their lives.
How can I tell the difference between one who is spiritually blind and one who is not? The one worships Jesus with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. The other is captivated by the things of this world that distract or steal their worship.
