Jesus Wants To Meet With YOU!!
As Jesus was traveling from Judea to Galilee, he purposely went through Samaria because he had a Divine appointment with a Samaritan woman. It was around noon when Jesus arrived at Jacob’s Well where he stopped for water because he was very tired from his journey. In the meantime, his disciples went into town to buy food. Then a Samaritan woman came to the well to draw water so Jesus asked her for a drink. At this time a long dialogue occurs between the woman and Jesus.
* Jesus shows just how human he is when it says he was very tired and stopped to sit and get a drink of water.
* Yet, we see how he’s also God, the Son of God, because he is aware that this Samaritan woman has been married five times and the sixth man she’s actually living with.
* We see just how much Jesus loves the woman because he speaks with her even though he is a Jew and she is a Samaritan woman. The Jews didn’t associate with Samaritans.
We see his compassion for the hurting and lost because he invests into a whole conversation with the woman in hopes of her finding Salvation. I love how Jesus used the topic of “drinking water” to point her to himself as the living water.
The woman was impressed how Jesus knew about her personal life and called him a prophet but then she spoke how the Messiah (the Christ) would one day come. It was then Jesus said, I am the Messiah!
If Jesus had a Divine appointment with you today, what need would he already know you had? Rest assured, Jesus wants to have a conversation with you about it. Ultimately, he wants to meet your needs, even the hidden needs you don’t know about. He was human so he understands your circumstances, and your pain and suffering. But he’s also God, the Messiah, and is capable of meeting your needs. Ultimately, he wants to have a relationship with you so you can experience Salvation for your soul, and experience the love and concern he has for your emotional, mental, and physical well being.
He wants to meet with YOU!
