Read John 20:11-18
I Want To Be With Jesus!!!
Mary Magdalene, after telling the disciples someone took Jesus from the tomb, returned to the tomb. She stood outside the tomb crying. At one moment she bent over to look inside and she saw two angels sitting where Jesus had laid. They asked her why she was crying and she responded that she didn’t know who took Jesus and where they put him.
It was then that Mary Magdalene turned and saw Jesus but didn’t recognize him. Jesus asked her, “Why are you crying and who are you looking for?” She thought Jesus was the gardener and pleaded for him to tell her where Jesus was if he took him. Jesus responded by saying Mary’s name and did so in a familiar way that she knew it was Jesus.
We could learn a lot about faithfulness from Mary Magdalene. She stood at the tomb weeping because she wanted Jesus.
Do you love to be with Jesus as Mary did? Do you have a quiet place where you can meet with God in reading his word, praying and worshiping him? Is it a place of solitude with no distractions? Do you have your cell phone by you so if you get a notification, you can stop your time with Jesus and see who is reaching out to you? Are your “distractions” more important than your “uninterrupted” time with the Lord?

1. You’re too busy spending time with the Lord in prayer and Bible reading that you don’t have time to respond to the distractions of life?

2. Are you so busy with the distractions of life that you don’t have time for the Lord?
