Read John 17:24-26
God’s Glory Manifested Through Me.
Jesus prays to God that His followers would see His glory. The Greek word for Glory is “doxa” and refers to the manifestation of God’s power and splendor. It can be seen and experienced. Jesus wants us to experience his glory in our everyday lives. Is your heart open daily for the things of the Lord? Jesus wants to work in and through your life. Jesus says he wants to make himself known to the world so the love of Jesus is made known to them. We are God’s tools and he wants to use us to show his love to everyone.
Dear Jesus, I surrender my heart to you this new day (and may I do so every new day) and ask that I might experience your glory, the manifestation of your power and splendor, not just for my benefit but for the benefit of others. In my surrendering, I’m asking that you manifest yourself through me to help others see you. May they see Jesus in me, in my words and actions. Help me be a light in a dark world in order to encourage others and help them have Hope, the Hope found only in you. May people experience your love through me. Here’s my life! Use it for your glory!
