Read John 16:1-15
I’m Prepared To Get Victory Over Persecution, Trials And Tribulations.
Jesus speaks to his disciples of all the different types of persecution they will face “so that you will not fall away.” Jesus even said one form of persecution will be those who kill others and think they are honoring God in doing so. But their god is actually the devil and not the one true God and certainly not a follower of Jesus. Jesus warns us of such persecution so that we are not surprised by it.
The good news is, we are given the Holy Spirit, the Advocate, as our means of strength, but he also comes to our defense so that even during the persecution he will use us to promote his truth. He will reveal sin while promoting his righteousness. He will declare his coming judgment which will overcome the devil and his angels while condemning them.
His Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and give you the words to speak while under attack. God will glorify himself through you.
Let me speak honestly:
Am I currently under persecution for my faith? No.
Is the devil consistently attacking me through different types of trials and tribulations of life? Yes.
Whether you’re being persecuted for your faith or facing certain trials and tribulations of life, both require PERSEVERANCE. But honestly, either way, I can’t do it on my own. I need the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen me through the obstacles of life.
Are you currently being persecuted or going through some tough times in life? Surrender Your heart and situation over to the Lord and allow His Holy Spirit to empower you, and guide you so you can persevere and get victory over your struggles. Let the Holy Spirit speak through you as a testimony to others the work that God is doing in your life. As a result God will be glorified in and through you.
