Read John 15:26-27
I MUST Testify To Others The Love Of Jesus.
Jesus once again speaks of the Holy Spirit that he will send to his followers from the Father. And Jesus declared to his disciples that they too must testify about Jesus because they were with Jesus throughout his ministry.
This is a comforting passage because it reminds me that I’m not alone. I don’t have to rely on myself when sharing God’s truth because I have the Spirit of the Living God within me. His Holy Spirit will empower me to testify about Jesus through my words and my actions.
This passage reminds me that we Christians have the RESPONSIBILITY to testify to others about the life of Jesus, and the love and salvation he offers to all humankind. But he promises that we are not alone (Matthew 28:18-20) because we have his Holy Spirit living within us who will testify about himself through us if we let him have control.
If God gives us the call to testify to others about Jesus, then how are we letting his Holy Spirit work in and through us? How are we approaching each and every day to be a testimony for Jesus? How intentional are we? Do we say, “Holy Spirit, use me today to help point someone to Jesus!” “Jesus, use my words and my actions to help people see that you do exist and you do love them and died for them.”
If we aren’t doing something to help people see Jesus then we missed God call for our lives which means our faith walk is very selfish. We’re thinking more of ourselves than the fact that others will spend eternity in hell without Jesus. God, I want my prayer to daily be, “Use me to testify to others your Love and Salvation.”
