Read John 14:17-24
God Will Show Himself To You In Ways You Never Imagined.
Jesus promises that when he leaves this earth, he won’t leave his followers as orphans. He will leave us his Holy Spirit who will dwell within us which will be God’s presence in us.
Sadly, the world will not accept him because they neither see him or know him. As a result they are disconnected and can’t experience all that God has for them.
But for those who know the Lord, they have the Holy Spirit within them. And if we have this relationship with the Lord, then the things of God will be important to us. To have a relationship is to love God, and Jesus said to love God is to keep his commandments and obey his words. Those who do not love him will not obey his words.
Here are the key words that Jesus said: that if we love him, then he will SHOW HIMSELF TO US.
Here’s why this is important to me. We live in a world today with just over 8 billion people. Despite the fact that we are surrounded by so many people everyday, we still have people feeling lonely and depressed and full of anxiety. People are struggling to find out who they are. They feel insignificant, without value and purpose. The devil does everything he can to deceive us into thinking there is no God or to at least get us to focus on the worries of life so that we are disconnected from God and others.
The good news is, Jesus wants to Reveal and SHOW HIMSELF TO US. But it starts with a relationship where we are connected to him through our love and obedience. To fall in love with Jesus is to fall in love with his word.
I remember the exact day that I surrendered my life to Jesus. He began to open new doors for my life in all areas of my life: my job, relationships, my value and worth, and purpose. My love for him grew me closer to him in church and in Christian fellowship. I found myself hungry for his word more and more. He really did open up new doors I never imagined.
