Read John 10:11-21
I Need To Get Busy.
Jesus says that he is the “Good Shepherd,” and the Good Shepherd lays down his life for us. He’s very evangelistic-minded because he doesn’t wish that any would perish but that all would come to repentance unto salvation through Jesus.
He knows his sheep and His sheep knows him. He knows His Father, and His Father knows him. Jesus has lived his life in a way that people know who he is. They respect him. They see him as a man of integrity. Lord help me live my faith walk in a way that people will know me because they see Jesus in me.
Jesus also said that there are other sheep not of the particular sheep pen. He was referring to the Gentile, not just the Jews, who would receive the good news of Jesus. Jesus is so committed to this calling on his life, that he is willing to lay down his life so that others can live.
Dear Jesus, as a follower of Christ, help me to display the qualities you have mentioned above. May I be willing to lay down my life for another person, so they can come to Jesus. Help me have your heart of compassion when the enemy attacks the souls of others. May I be found blameless so that people respect me and know that I’m not a hypocrite but the real deal. Help me be busy doing my part in reaching those who don’t know Jesus.
