Read John 10:1-10
Are You Listening To The Voice Of Jesus Or The Deceiver?
Jesus speaks to the Pharisees about a sheep pen which was a place sheep hung out so wild animals couldn’t destroy them. Anyone who enters the sheep pen, other than through the gate, is a thief and a robber. Jesus explains what he means: Jesus is the gate and he is the Good Shepherd that oversees the sheep. The sheep are those who truly follow Jesus. They know the voice of their Shepherd. But if anyone tries to enter the sheep pen, other than through the gate, is in fact evil and their interest is only to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus desires to give us life and have it to the fullest.
Jesus has provided for us a safe place so we can grow in our spiritual walk and enjoy the life he has for us. The problem is, that the devil will do anything possible to tempt us, deceive us, put fear into us, and distract us from Jesus.
Jesus offers us a safe place and we can’t let the devil deceive us. The enemy will use other people, life circumstances, and tough situations to get us away from Jesus.
Have you been deceived by the enemy so that you have a broken relationship with Jesus?
Have you been deceived by the enemy but are on the path of healing that broken relationship with Jesus?
Are you currently walking faithfully with the Lord and are you experiencing the full life he has for you?
I don’t care what sin you have committed that has taken you away from Jesus. What I care about is whether or not you’re going to let go of the deception of this world, and follow Jesus completely.
The full life he has for us is a life where we are able to use our gifts and love people to Jesus. There’s great satisfaction that comes when we are able to serve others and encourage them towards Jesus. Fulfilling the will of God in our lives is important to have the full life he offers us. Let go of the deception. Let go of the fear. Let go of the distractions of life.
Jesus is offering you a New Life to replace the broken life you may currently be in. Keep pursuing him. Don’t listen to the lies. Keep pursuing him. He will open new doors for new opportunities to get the fullness he has for you.
