Read Joel Chapter 3
The Final Judgment Awaits Us.
God will one day gather all the nations together and repay them for all the evil they have done to Israel. Whatever they did to Israel God will do to them. God’s Wrath will come against the nations and he will provide a refuge for his people Israel. This final judgment we also read about in Revelation. It speaks of the Great White Throne Of Judgment. Those who did not follow the Lord will face a judgment of eternal damnation in hell. But those who followed the Lord will inherit eternal life in heaven.
How will you be judged? Read Matthew 25:31-46 which speaks of the final judgment from God. Those who did not follow the Lord Jesus, and didn’t put their faith into practice, will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire. All those who did follow Jesus in faith, putting it into practice, will spend eternity in heaven.
Matthew 25:31-46 says whatever we do to the least of those around us, we actually do to Jesus. Do you feed the hungry? Do you give water to the thirsty? Do you welcome the stranger? Do you clothe the naked? Do you visit the prisoner? Do you help the sick? Do you love the Lord God? Do you love your neighbor? Do you love your enemy? Think of the most annoying person you know. How you treat that person is really how you treat Jesus.
The final judgment we face will determine where we spend eternity. May our faith be strong. May we be very conscious of the needs around us, and respond to them as if we are responding to Jesus. Think of how lives could be impacted if we treated them as if they were Jesus.
