Read Joel Chapter 2
From Wrath to Glory. From Fear To Joy. You Choose!
Chapter 2 is broken up into five sections.
1. GOD’S COMING WRATH. God declares that his wrath is coming and it won’t be pretty. There will be darkness and gloom. A consuming fire. The people will be in anguish and fear. They won’t escape it. God’s Wrath will be great, strong, and very awesome.
2. GOD’S CALL TO RETURN TO HIM. But, God is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in loving kindness and willing to relent His Wrath. Therefore God calls his people to RETURN to him with all their hearts. Repent with fasting, weeping, and mourning. When they do, they will have a renewed spirit.
3. DELIVERANCE IS PROMISED. God will show his pity and deliver his people and renew their spirits and their lands. They will go from Wrath to Blessings. From Fear To Joy.
4. GOD PROMISES HIS HOLY SPIRIT. God declares his Holy Spirit is coming and will fall upon his male and female servants. There will be prophecies, dreams and visions. (This promise we see fulfilled in Acts 2).
5. CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD. Those who call on the name of the lord will be saved. These same words are spoken in Romans 10:8-13. This is the hope of Jesus Christ. We can escape God’s Wrath and experience true Joy.
Where are you at spiritually?
1. Are you living in fear not knowing what the afterlife holds for you? You can call upon the name of Jesus now in repentance.
2. Have you walked away from the Lord? God is a loving and compassionate God. He loves you Sooooooooo Much. Return to him and experience a renewed vision and plan for your life.
3. Are you living in fear. Let the Holy Spirit renew your heart and put his Joy and Confidence in you.
4. Have you received his Holy Spirit that is promised to his children? Are you walking a defeated life? Surrender your life to the Lord. Receive his Holy Spirit and be empowered to live a victorious Life!!!
5. Have you called upon the name of the Lord Jesus for the Salvation of your soul so you can live with God in heaven for eternity? You can do that today!
