Read Jeremiah Chapter 51
“RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!!!”
The God, who made the Earth with his power, wisdom, and understanding, will destroy all of Babylon. He will carry out his purpose to destroy Babylon while restoring the people of Israel and Judah as a nation. Twice, God tells his people to “Run for their lives.” Don’t stick around in the land of Babylon and be destroyed with them.
God is still wanting to restore his people today. It’s easy to get enticed by the things of this world. It could be peer pressure, a relationship, an addiction, it could be so many different things. At some point we have to flee that which entices us.
In Genesis 39:1-20, Potiphar’s wife kept trying to seduce Joseph but he made sure there was always someone present in the room so as not to be enticed. But one day, no one was around and she was very aggressive to make him lie with her. But when she grabbed his outer garment, Joseph didn’t stick around to reason with her. He ran and he RAN RIGHT NOW! He fled evil and wanted nothing to do with it. That has to be our heart and attitude. We have to hate evil so much that we are willing to isolate ourselves or make sure we have protective measures taken to keep us from giving into the temptations.
What or who is a constant temptation that triggers thoughts or desires to sin?

Sometimes the best advice is to run and RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! Flee and isolate yourself RIGHT NOW. Be willing to make whatever sacrifices necessary so as to stay Holy before the Lord.
