Read Jeremiah Chapter 49
Are Your Choices Based On OBEDIENCE To God Or On What FEELS GOOD?
God prophesied against the Ammonites, the Edomites, those in Damascus, Kedar, Heznor and Elam. All of those Nations he said would be destroyed because of their sin and arrogance. Their heart was not in the Lord. They disobeyed God’s word and their arrogance drove them to make choices based on what “feels good.”
I wonder how God would prophesy against the Nations today?!? Nations have walked further away from the Lord and do not operate off from biblical morals. Instead, we increasingly see good things called evil and evil things called good. It seems to all be about what “feels good.” I can’t find where Jesus ever gave counsel saying, “Do whatever feels good.” I read where we are called to obedience to the Lord. Living in obedience is hard because Satan paints beautiful pictures of other options that can be very enticing and feel good.
What are you going through? What choices are you faced with? Which choices are an act of obedience, and which choices are the ones that feel good? Jesus said obedience is the correct answer.
