Read Jeremiah Chapter 32
Light Can Shine In Our Dark World.
By now the Babylonians are in the process of besieging Jerusalem. God prophesied to Jeremiah saying his cousin would come and want to sell him land. Which in fact he did come. So Jeremiah purchased it and went through all the legalities to make it official. God told Jeremiah to put all the legal documents in a jar so they last a long time. Then God said that though the Babylonians will come and destroy the city, one day houses, fields, and vineyards will be bought again. The Babylonians will burn it down including the houses. But, God will restore the land and his people.
It’s easy to feel there is no hope for the future when one experiences disasters of life.
In my early years, I thought I would marry this one particular young lady, but she broke off the relationship. Does broken relationships mean God has no future for us? Can he restore our heart and soul and reveal his plan of Hope? Yes, he can and he does.
Broken relationships, finances, death, persecution, and lost jobs are examples of disasters that can put us in a dark place, even a deep dark hole where we feel God is far away with no hope in the future. But God’s presence is light and overpowers and overcomes the darkness of our lives (John 1:5).
Are you in a dark place? Hang on to the Lord. Keep pursuing him. Restoration of your heart and soul is coming. Hope for your future is present. Be faithful.
